About James “Isso” Swearengin

If you didn’t know by now, James “Isso” Swearengin is the person who made this entire website and all the beats that come with it! I have been creating websites and playing with music since I was a kid, and I am also a former creative director with a wide array of knowledge in the web design industry. I love learning new things about the world of art, music, and computers and enjoy improving my skills every day. I paid my way through college by working full time and attending school part time at night, however, most of my skills are self-taught because of my strong creative passion and desire to learn. Continue reading for some more words from me…

My first memorable internet experience was when I was about 13 or 14 years old. I created a skateboarding website known as "812 Skateboarding" where I recruited a team of skateboarders and I would post videos, pictures, tricks, reviews and other media related content from our skate crew. I used to sell advertising space on my website and receive free gear such as skateboards, wheels, clothes and more. This opportunity opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities. Click here and navigate to 14:45 to watch my skate part in the 812 Skateboarding video that was created over a decade ago by the skate crew that I assembled.

My main passion besides the web world is listening to and creating music. I have been learning to create music since I was 11 when I joined school band and played the baritone for a year. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy band and dropped out because of the rules and lame teachers. I pride myself on creativity, so eventually I learned how to make beats and have been creating instrumental beats for over a decade. I am self-taught in my musical skills.

You can listen to my Dubstep album that I fully produced and various other random instrumentals and remixes on my SoundCloud player below. I also enjoy playing my acoustic and electric guitars and have been known to DJ parties and events from time to time.

I am very easy-going and get along well with most people. My philosophy is to treat others with kindness and respect while trying to maintain a positive outlook on daily life and the blessings that I have been given.
